HOUSE builder Bellway Homes has renewed its partnership with Winsford’s Woodford Juniors Under 14s community football team.

With three new residential developments within a five to 10 minute drive of the boys’ ground at Knights Grange, the housebuilder has pledged to continue to support the junior team and provide a set of new kits for the young players who have outgrown their last ones.

Part of the Mid Cheshire League, Woodford Juniors is a thriving football club and a key part of the community in Winsford. It relies solely on parent volunteers for coaching and income from sponsorship and fundraising by parents to ensure the boys have everything they need for their weekly training sessions and regular competitive matches.

Philip Badder, manager of the under 14s, said: “We’re delighted that Bellway has once again agreed to sponsor us. It is a constant challenge to cover the cost of new kits as the boys grow, and we are really grateful for the continued support.

“We also continue to make good use of the Bellway umbrellas that were donated as part of the previous deal, and these are used weekly by parents supporting in all weathers from the side of the pitch.”

Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway Homes, said: “It’s great to hear that both the players and the parents benefitted from the sponsorship and that we are once again able to support the local community in the areas where we are building new homes.”
