A GLITTERING ceremony has been held to honour the achievements of people in Winsford.
Town mayor Cllr Gina Lewis presented Oscar awards to celebrate the efforts of unsung heroes who have made a big difference to their community.
More than 100 guests attended the event at Winsford Lifestyle Centre on Friday.
Jackie Brown who has transformed the lives of almost 400 isolated people received the mayor's special award.

"It was a great honour," said Jackie, social prescribing coordinator for the Brightlife project in Winsford.
"I am very passionate about making a difference.
"It was great to receive the award and recognition that Brightlife and our partners have achieved."
Jackie supports hundreds of people to conquer loneliness and ill health through various clubs and activities.
Shaun Kirkpatrick, who has raised thousands of pounds for local groups and organisations on Facebook, won the Walk of Achievement award.

Cllr Lewis said: "It was a fabulous evening. Winsford and its people don't get the praise they deserve and the evening was a wonderful way of celebrating their achievements.
"I am extremely grateful to all our sponsors for without their support the evening would not have been possible."
