A crash has caused congestion on the M6 northbound this morning.
DELAYS of nearly an hour are reported after a crash on the M6.
Traffic on the northbound carriageway is queuing back to junction 21a at Croft following an accident involving two cars between junction 24 for Ashton in Makerfield and junction 25 at Bryn.
Long delays are reported, with travel time through the affected area estimated at around 55 minutes.
Delays are also reported on the southbound carriageway due to motorists slowing to look at the accident.
One lane of the motorway was shut until around 8.15am.
