A GROUP of youths stole an axe and a hammer from a building site in Great Sankey in order to build a den.
The theft was reported yesterday, Sunday, on the Miller Homes development off Sophia Drive.
Approximately seven youths took building materials from the site - including a hand axe, hammer, mallet and Swiss Army knife - in order to build a den in a nearby forest.
These items have now been seized by police, with investigations ongoing.
