STAFF at the Newton Court Bupa Care Home were delighted at the result of the latest Care Quality Commission report after an unannounced inspection.

Under the CQC’s programme of inspections, all adult social care services are given a rating according to whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

In its summary of Newton Court, the CQC said: “People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible.

“We observed positive interactions between staff and people who used the service. The atmosphere in the home was calm and relaxed.”

The care home received the ‘good’ rating in all categories.

General Manager at Newton Court, Marek Matuszczak, said: 'I’m delighted with the result of the CQC report and the positive feedback that it included.

"The report is testament to the people at Newton Court who work extremely hard to ensure essential standards are maintained and improved upon to make this a homely, safe and comfortable environment for our residents to live in.”

Newton Court provides nursing and residential care for older people, as well as residential care for those living with dementia.
