CHILDREN put their culinary skills to test in an inter class bake off.
Pupils from Darnhall Primary School in Winsford came up with all sorts of imaginative cakes as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.
Head teacher Sarah Tomlinson invited judges from the community, catering manager Jennie Hazlehurst, Cheryl Fitzsimmons from Real Cakes of Cheshire, Ash Cherrington, manager of Shrewsbury Arms Little Budworth and Sarah Norman, catering manager of The Old Star, to pick a winner.
After much deliberation they awarded first place to Sycamore class for their smores cakes and Plum class were named runners up for their three little pigs pignic cake.
