A LADY who had a fall in the town centre has reached out to thank Good Samaritans who stopped to help.
June Barker, 78, fell near Marks and Spencer on Tuesday morning, February 19, and was immediately assisted by a group of nearby pedestrians.
Fortunately June, who is from Davenham, did not need any further medical assistance and was later helped home.
June said: “I had been feeling a little bit unwell, and then the next thing I knew I was on the floor.”
It was around 11 to 11.30am, and a number of nearby shoppers stopped to check June was ok and help her to get up and back on her feet.
She said: “There was one man in particular who was so king. I couldn’t have got up without him.
“I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who stopped to help – thank you for taking the time.”
