A SERVICE which supports homeless women has received a cash boost from a Winsford company.
Compass Minerals has presented £1,000 to Cotswold House in Winsford which offers accommodation for women aged 16 to 36 across Cheshire.
Claire Bryant, operations and transport administrator from Deepstore and Ros Ashley, mine administrator fromCompass Minerals, who represented the two sides of the business, presented a cheque for £1,000 to Cotswold House on behalf of the Winsford-based company which operates the UK’s largest salt mine.
Cotswold House, which is operated by Weaver Vale Housing Trust, provides quality supported accommodation for homeless women.
Hundreds of young women and children have been helped since it opened in 2006.
Lyn Mitchell, HR manager Compass Minerals, said: “Cotswold House is close to a lot of our employees’ hearts here at Compass Minerals, providing a springboard to help young women get back on track. We are delighted to support their amazing work with this donation.”
Angela Kandeh, service manager at Cotswold House, said: “This donation from Compass Minerals really does mean the world to us. We were delighted to see such a huge support from a local business as we continue to provide a safe and supportive environment for women to work towards a more positive future.”
