CHILDREN from school across Middlewich and beyond attended the Rose Fete and Children’s Festival selection day.

Organisers say number quadrupled from last year, with children from St Mary’s, Cledford, Middwich, Wimboldsley, Byley, Holmes Chapel and Willow Wood primary schools in attendance, as well as Middlewich High School pupils.

Aimee Halewood was selected as this year’s Rose Queen at the British Legion on Saturday, February 2, and will be crowned at the festival in Market Field on Saturday, May 18.

The selection day was judged by Alison Sumner, Sophie Quinn Jones and David Lee.
