A NEW bargain shop has opened.

Savers has taken over the Superdrug unit at Winsford Cross Shopping Centre.

Winsford Town Council mayor Cllr Gina Lewis opened the store yesterday.

The cut price budget chain specialises in branded health, home and beauty products at low prices.

The retailer shares the same parent company as Superdrug and has transferred employees Alesi Berrisford, Karen Munnerley to the new outlet.

It is one of more than 400 Saver stores across the country.

Savers merchandising manager Jo Garner said: “We sell lots of big household brands an awful lot cheaper than many other shops.

“Every month we have several hundred price reductions and we also have managers’ specials.

“When people realise we’re here and tell their friends we will bring more shoppers into Winsford.”
