AN award-winning musical will be performed by Sir John Deane’s students at the school’s Hopkins Theatre this month.
Actors, dancers, musicians and technicians will come together for a run of Return to the Forbidden Planet from Wednesday, Friday 13 to Friday, February 15.
Loosely based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest and the 1965 sci-fi classic Forbidden Planet, the show finds a spaceship, helmed by Captain Tempest, making an emergency landing on the unchartered planet D’Illyria.
Its only residents are a mad scientist, his daughter and their roller-skating robot. With rock’n’roll hits meeting iambic pentameter, the show promises to get you jiving in your seats. Tickets £10, £8 concessions.
