MIDDLEWICH High School fell below average for progress in this year's Secondary School's Performance tables.
The tables have been published by the Department for Education, and show schools’ overall performance at the end of key stage 4 in 2018.
Sandbach High School topped the table for all schools in Cheshire East, where 56 per cent of pupisl sitting GCSEs achieved Gade 5 or above in English and maths.
The school's progress 8 score, which meaures the progress of GCSE results comapred to the previous year across eight qualifications, is 0.37 - above the national average of -0.02.
Meanwhile, Middlewich High School came towards the bottom of the table of schools in Cheshire East.
30 per cent of it's pupils achieved a grade 5 or above in English and maths, and the school achieved a progress 8 score of -0.24.
