A WINSFORD salvage business is planning to merge with three salvage and dismantling companies.

Car Transplants on Winsford Industrial Estate intends to team up with Doncaster-based Motorhog, FAB Recycling, from Gloucestershire and Edinburgh-based DH Systems.

The merger, set to take place from March 1, will create a new entity known as Synetiq, providing services in the salvage, dismantling, green parts and support services sectors.

It will operate from 16 fully-licensed and accredited sites across the UK with a fleet of more than 100 collection and delivery vehicles.

The company will have more than 50,000 registered auction customers and sell more than 35,000 vehicles and 250,000 parts a year.

Synetiq will employ more than 400 people with a forecast first year turnover of more than £120 million.

John Schofield, managing director of Car Transplants Ltd, said: “The proposal to combine the Car Transplants brand alongside Motorhog and DH Systems is very exciting and unlike anything that has been done before.”

All parties are looking forward to combining their strengths.
