FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house fire in Winsford late last night, Thursday.
Two fire engines from Winsford Fire Station were sent to Chillingham Road at 11.46pm after receiving reports of an orange glow and smoke coming from a house under construction.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “A call to a report of an orange glow and lots of smoke seen in Winsford resulted in firefighters attending a fire involving a partially constructed house.
“The fire involved the ground and first floor of the semi-detached house, which was under construction, and a hose reel was used to put the fire out.
“Crews wearing breathing apparatus cut away parts of the property to fully extinguish the fire and used a thermal imaging camera to check the area.
“They also used a large fan to help extinguish the fire and remove smoke. An investigation into the cause of this fire will take place shortly. The crews were in attendance for around three hours.”
