FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a deliberate fire in Middlewich last night, Thursday.

One fire engine from Middlewich was sent to the fire in Queen Street at 10.40pm.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “At around 10.40pm firefighters were called to a report of a fire in the open on Queen Street in Middlewich. On arrival the crew discovered a small fire.

“Firefighters extinguished the fire with water and were in attendance for less than half-an-hour.

“The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Anyone with information about the incident should call Cheshire Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
