AN exhibition at the Weaver Hall Museum is showcasing talented young artists’ work through to the new year.
The work is the result of the ‘Young Artists in Tuscany’ trip, which involves A Level art students from Cheshire and Wirral taking part in an eight-day practical trip to Italy.
While there, they enjoyed art history lectures and tutorials led by experts, on the central theme of the Renaissance in Italy. They made full written and illustrated notes in homemade sketchbooks, and took part in two full days of practical drawing in the countryside near Florence.
Having first applied for the course back in the summer, the artists have now returned and also completed a large-scale piece of more finished artwork.
All of their efforts can be seen in the exhibition, which runs until January 20.
