TWO people have been arrested by officers after a man was robbed in Winsford.
Shortly after 2am on Thursday two passengers in a taxi demanded the driver hand over his wallet, phone and car keys.
One of the passengers assaulted the driver with a knife causing a minor injury to his back.
The victim, a 36-year-old man, handed over his possessions and the two passengers, a man and a woman, ran away.
Officers swiftly arrived at the scene and following a thorough search of the area a 41-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, both of Winsford, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
Both are in police custody helping officers with their enquiries.
