CHILDREN were flying high after an exciting trip to Manchester Airport.
Pupils at the Grange Community Primary School in Winsford discovered the wide range of jobs that are available as part of a careers and aspirations project.
The visit, organised as part of Winsford Education Partnership, allows children to develop their knowledge of opportunities that are available to them when they are older.
The year five and six pupils had a tour of the terminals and learnt about the various careers within the travel and tourism industry.
Children met pilots, air hostesses, security and air traffic controllers.
Pupils were taken behind the scenes to see how all the cases and bags checked in by passengers are checked in and transported to planes.
The youngsters had a bird's eye view watching aeroplanes land and take off as they spent the afternoon in the air traffic control tower.
Executive head teacher Annette Williams said: "This has been the most amazing experience for our children, really raising their aspirations and making them aware of opportunities that they could access as they get older. The sky really is their limit!"
