AN appeal is being made for chocolates to treat children on Santa's mobile grotto.

St Luke’s big red bus decked out as Santa’s winter wonderland will be taking to the road in the coming weeks to delight little ones.

Santa’s elves desperately need supplies of chocolate selection boxes to hand out to children visiting the grotto.

Cath Davison, a staff nurse at St Luke's Hospice in Winsford, said: “Would you be willing to put a chocolate selection box in your weekly shopping basket and donate it to us for our Santa’s grotto?

“If so, please drop your selection box into any of our charity shops or to the hospice itself.

"Our Santa’s grotto is always popular with local families and helps to raise much-needed funds for patient care here. Thank you so much for your help.”

The bus will be visiting schools, nurseries and festive events in the run up to Christmas, giving children the chance to meet Santa, tell him their Christmas wish list and receive a small gift of a chocolate selection box.
