ALL lanes have reopened on the M6 southbound between junctions 18 and 19 following a crash shortly after 2pm today.

Two lanes were closed because of the crash.

One fire engine from Lymm, one from Northwich and two fire engines from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

A spokesman for the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire crews were called to a crash between a car and a HGV on the M6 southbound near to junction 19.

"Two casualties were helped from a car by fire crews and then handed into the care of paramedics."

Long delays remain but the traffic is starting to ease now.
