RESIDENTS had a lucky escape after a large skip fire in Wharton Gardens.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 11.05pm yesterday (Friday, October 26) following reports of a skip fire.
On arrival crews discovered that the fire had spread to two fence panels.
Two fire engines from Winsford and Northwich attended.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.
They then dampened down the area and made it safe.
