THE new home of Tiger Trailers in Winsford, which will bring with it 120 new jobs, is taking shape at an ‘unbelievable rate’ according to the firm.

An 80-strong team on behalf of building contractor Bowmer & Kirkland is hard at work on the site.

The service yard has been completed, and finished trailers are now being moved to the site for secure parking.

Cladding to the walls and roof of the main building has been completed, and the team has turned their attention to laying the huge concrete slabs inside the manufacturing hall, together with the installation of all mini services – including ventilation, gas pipework, lighting and power.

Once complete, engineers will begin fitting out the main manufacturing hall during November and December as they prepare to turn the 168,000 ft sq area into a facility housing the company’s chassis fabrication, body assembly, paint and final finish areas all under one roof.

Our new office block is also entering an advanced stage, with work having moved inside to the installation of ventilation, heating and electrics, and the plastering of partitions. Ceramic tiling and joinery will follow – to include the fitting out of our state-of-the-art 3D engineering suite, meeting rooms and specialist training facility to house our growing team.

Steven Cartwright, joint manager director, said: “There’s real excitement in the air as we count down towards the move. Being so close to the site, we can literally see it taking shape every day and there is great anticipation among the Tiger team.”

“We have a lot of work to do before then, and we’re busy recruiting and training the dozens of new team members who are coming on board to support this expansion phase.”
