AN amateur photographer is putting the magic of Marbury Country Park into focus at her first public exhibition.
The work of Alison Hamlin-Hughes, from Higher Marston will be showcased in the Mystical Moods of Marbury exhibit, at Northwich at Abda café, on Crown Street.
It’s the first time that Alison has exhibited her work, something that’s even more impressive when you consider that she doesn’t even own a camera.
Guardian readers may already be familiar with Alison’s work, which has graced the paper’s pages since she first started taking pictures.
The 56-year-old said: “All the pictures are of sunrises in Marbury park, using only natural light. I’m not actually a photographer, it’s just a hobby. In fact, I don’t even own a camera, as all the pictures are taken on my iPhone.
“I go out at sunrise and seem to have a knack of catching the natural light. I’m so much in the zone when I take the picture I think a piece of how I’m feeling comes out in the picture.
“I’m hope the exhibition will encourage people to get out and about in our lovely countryside and know that it’s not essential to own a snazzy camera to catch the beauty of nature.”
“I’m really excited and having the opportunity to do it is absolutely brilliant. I can’t wait to see them up on the wall and see how people react to them.”
The exhibition runs from Monday, September 24 until Friday, October 5.
