A COW was freed from a Winsford canal after firefighters came to its rescue.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 12.35pm to Road One on Saturday following reports a cow had become stuck in a canal.
One fire engine and an animal rescue unit attended the scene.
The specialist animal rescue team used lifting equipment to get the cow out of the water.
It is not believed that the cow was injured during its ordeal.
