A MIDDLEWICH construction and property firm raised a record amount of money for its annual charity event.

Pochin’s gathered the region’s property and construction industry last week as it held its annual golf day at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford.

A day on the golf course was followed by a meal and entertainment, including a silent and live auction, golf day presentation and live band.

Now in its 20th year, this year’s event raised a record £35,000 in aid of the Steve Burne Charitable Trust. Pochin’s has raised over £300,000 over the last 20 years for local charities.

Jim Nicholson, CEO of Pochin’s Ltd, said: “Each year we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our staff, clients and friends.

“This year’s event was of particular importance to myself and the wider team at Pochin’s.

“Steve is a close friend and someone we have had the pleasure of working with on many occasions – we are all in admiration of his strength and the inspirational work he is he doing to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.

“A huge thank you to everyone that played their part in making this year’s event such a success. We look forward to seeing you next year.”
