PEOPLE from Winsford who want to save money or need to borrow money at more affordable rates are being offered a practical solution from the West Cheshire Credit Union.
West Cheshire Credit Union was commissioned in 2015 to provide practical saving and affordable lending facilities to residents and workers across the borough who have limited or less than perfect credit history.
Cllr Samantha Dixon, leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “Many residents end up taking out loans with extremely high rates and then struggle to pay them back, getting themselves further into debt. The West Cheshire Credit Union offers loans at affordable prices and various saving plans to suit their needs.”
In addition to saving and loan products, the Union works to promote greater financial literacy with children and young people
Partnerships with schools allow the Credit Union to deliver workshops and assemblies to equip them with the essential skills needed to effectively manage their finances now and in the future.
