A CHESHIRE farmer has received recognition for his of his support of a farming charity.
Phil Smallwood, from Middlewich, was awarded the North East regional award for his work with R.A.B.I.
Phil collected his prize from Lord Plumb and Joshua Hosier, R.A.B.I deputy chairman, in front of more than 220 guests at an AGM awards ceremony in Oxfordshire this week.
Phil runs farming roadshows across Cheshire on weekends raising money and awareness for the charity.
He has held gigs, BBQs and quizzes at his farm with his wife Dorothy and they host an annual Christmas quiz and Phil is always in costume.
He has raised more than £18,000 for R.A.B.I, including over £3,500 in 2017.
Joshua Hosier said: “Phil is a bit of a legend. He has time for everyone and is a great ambassador for R.A.B.I and makes fundraising fun.”
R.A.B.I’s AGM awards ceremony brought together staff, volunteers, committee members and corporate supporters from all over England and Wales.
