PUNTERS at a Sproston pub have been egg-ceptionally generous in helping raise money for charity.
A giant Easter egg raffle at The Fox and Hounds, on Holmes Chapel Road, raised £1,000 for the North West Air Ambulance Service.
Becky Butler, general manager, said: “We chose the North West Air Ambulance Service because they do such an important job. There was an accident around the corner from us recently and they attended so we felt we wanted to support them.
“Our customers have been really generous. The tickets were £1 each and some people bought 70 of them.”
The giant egg was won by Jason Brooks from Swindon.
