A SKILLS and opportunities fair offering people the chance to find a new career or training scheme has been announced.

The event is free to attend and takes place at the Winsford campus of Warrington and Vale Royal College on Thursday, April 19 from 10am to 1pm.

Natalie Kerr, employment horizons coordinator, work & enterprise team, weaver vale housing trust said: “It’s a great event to attend, really great advice and opportunities on offer. We encourage people to attend even if they are not sure what they need as there are lots of people to help and offer advice”.

Some of the businesses in attendance will be East Cheshire NHS Trust, Thomas Truck Training Ltd, Motherwell and Winsford Work Zone will be showcasing some of their training courses.

At the event you will find local opportunities for local people, including paid employment, volunteering and services available.

With the chance to speak to local employers about what they look for in their employees, speak about local services and how you could access them, and how they would help. You can also meet training providers and talk about courses available.

The Work & Enterprise team at Weaver Vale Housing Trust offer support and guidance for customers who are looking to get back in to training or work.

The carefully tailored advice meets individual’s needs and supports local people to find lasting work, offering information, advice and guidance.
