A CABARET show has been organised in Winsford in memory of a special entertainer with the proceeds going to St Luke’s Hospice.

The event is being run by Karen Shutt ,56, in memory of her husband, who passed away in 2016.

Karen said: “I’ve got a cabaret group, we call ourselves Musica and the show is called The Magic of Music and I’m a professional pianist and piano teacher and the members of the group are semi-professionals.

“There are three vocalists and compere Ray Johnson OBE.

“It’s going to be at the Winsford Academy in Grange Lane and all of the money is going to St Luke’s Hospice.”

Karen’s husband Bernard Dyke (known as Ray Bernard) died from cancer and was cared for by St Luke’s Hospice.

Karen wants to raise awareness for St Luke’s Hospice for the work they do in supporting people in the Cheshire region whenever they are needed.

She said: “I’m so thankful for places like St Luke’s because I could not have dealt with him dying at home. I just don’t think there’s enough being put into the hospice.

The Magic of Music takes place at the Winsford Academy on Saturday, April 28, starting at 7.30pm.
