FURTHER public consultation events, aiming to garner feedback on Middlewich’s bypass route and emerging Neighbourhood Plan (NP), take place over the coming week.

On Sunday, April 14, a joint event combining of both the bypass and NP – similar to the first session on March 28 – takes place at St Mary’s Church Hall in King Street from 10am until 3pm.

Then, on Thursday, April 19, a bypass-only public consultation event will be held at the same venue from 2pm to 8pm.

The NP aims to give residents a say in shaping development in the town through to 2030, and the first draft plan is available from Middlewich Town Council.

The bypass consultation aims to inform the final design scheme for the new road.

It is hoped that – after the consultation closes on April 29 – a planning application will be lodged for the bypass, with a view to beginning work in summer 2020 and opening the road in winter 2021.
