FIREFIGHTERS visited Grange Primary School last week.
The Winsford Watch from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service came in to see Year 2 as part of the school’s Great Fire of London studies.
Firefighters answered children’s questions about their working life and the situations they had to face on a daily basis, with youngsters also talking to the engine operator on the radio, and trying on fire suits.
Children also learned about fire safety in the home
Annette Williams, executive headteacher, said: "This was the most inspirational opportunity to raise our children's aspirations.
"They all wanted to join the team by the end of the session.
"If we support children to believe that the world is their oyster, we are confident they will achieve whatever goal they strive for."
