THE Primary Schools Permormance Tables have been published today and three schools in the Winsford area came above the national average.
Based on SATs results, the table shows the percentage of children at each school who met the 'expected standard'.
Whitegate Primary School had the best score in the area with 67 per cent, with Over St John's Primary coming on top for the schools in Winsford with 64 per cent.
Little Leigh Primary School in Northwich came at the top of the table for schools in the Cheshire West and Chester Council boundary with 93 per cent.
However, Grange Community Primary School came at the bottom of the table for CWAC schools with 20 per cent.
The average score for schools in the local authority is 59 per cent, and the average for schools across England is 61 per cent.
There are three schools in the Winsford area that beat the national average.

- Willow Wood Community Primary School – 50 per cent
- Wharton CofE Primary School – 41 per cent
- St Chad’s CofE Primary School – 40 per cent
- Grange Community Primary School – 20 per cent
