Dr Mohammad Shuaib was a GP in Winsford for around 35 years from the early 1970s up until 2008.

Dr Shuaib died on Thursday, November 30, and Swanlow Medical Centre has paid tribute to the ‘kind and helpful GP’.

Ange Roberts, practice development manager at Swanlow Medical Centre, said: “We are very sad to announce that Dr Mohammad Shuaib, retired GP from Swanlow Medical Centre in Winsford, died on Thursday, November 30.

“His funeral took place the following day at Central Manchester Mosque. Dr Shuaib worked as a GP in Winsford for many years at the practice mostly when the surgery was based on Swanlow Lane.

“He retired in 2008 and we know that many people in the town will remember him fondly as providing health services for them over the years.

“All of who worked with him remember him as a kind and helpful GP who always wanted the best for his patients. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.”
