A LARGE fire in Cledford Lane which firefighters tackled for around three hours alst night, has been confirmed to have been an arson attack.
Crews from Middlewich, Sandbach and Holmes Chapel were sent to the scene at 10.42pm following reports of a shed fire.
When the crews arrived the fire had spread to a neighbouring garage.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: "Fire engines from Sandbach, Middlewich and Holmes Chapel attended a fire involving a large shed which spread into a neighbouring garage.
"Firefighters used one hose reel, four breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately three hours."
Police were also at the scene and have confirmed to the Guardian that the fire is believed to have been started deliberately and is now being investigated.
