A WINSFORD actor who moved to LA to pursue his dream has starred in a series of TV adverts with an NFL player.

Liam Haynes, a former Verdin High School pupil, has shared the screen with Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota for First Hawaiian Bank based in Honolulu.

The 31-year-old received recognition for the comedic value of the adverts and has also completed production of his first feature film, Demimonde, for which he has a leading role.

Liam said: “The adverts have had a really good reaction and I had the time of my life making them.

“We got sent out to Hawaii for it so I was treated like a king for a few days which was great to be a part of.

“I have also finished Demimonde. For this we filmed in New Orleans and Mississippi. It was great to lead in the production and while we were there I got to experience the wonderful way Mardi Gras is celebrated.

“Alongside these projects I’ve also featured in a few music videos and taken part in the 50th year celebration of the Centre Theatre Group.

“My next goal is to land a regular role in a TV show. This should be quite achievable in the near future but until then I’m really enjoying the work I’m currently doing.”

Liam grew up in Byley Way and Wharton and moved to New York to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2010.

In 2015 he was sponsored to move to LA where he now lives permanently.

Liam said: “It was a career choice to move to Los Angeles. I love New York and see myself moving back there one day but all the biggest stars are made here.

“It’s taken me a while to get here but it has opened my eyes to the realities of life. People want to have it all as soon as possible but sometimes a career trajectory takes time.

“Success is in the eye of the beholder and I’m really happy with where I am at the moment.

“My message to people would be that anyone can make it. All they have to do is take a leap of faith.”
