Winsford man arrested after escaping from prison custody
A 21-YEAR-OLD man from Winsford has been detained by police after escaping from prison custody on Monday morning.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "At around 10.35am, police were informed that prison guards were escorting a male prisoner for treatment at Aintree University Hospital, Lower Lane when he escaped from custody.
"Police officers attended and he was arrested minutes later in nearby Delagoa Road."
The man has been returned to HMP Altcourse prison where he is serving a sentence for breaching licence conditions.
