MOTORISTS faced long delays this afternoon after a car set fire on the M6.
The incident happened at Junction 21 and Junction 21A of the M6 northbound, just before the Thelwall viaduct, around 2pm.
A roadblock was temporarily put in place while firefighters from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Motorway Police dealt with the incident.
All lanes have now been reopened.
We currently have a block on NB M6 just prior to Thelwall viaduct whilst we move a breakdown form lane 4. We'll get you moving ASAP.
