A MIDDLEWICH contractor has completed a series of student residences with a total value of £35.95m.
 

Pochin Construction, in Brooks Lane, has carried out work at four UK cities and finished construction on new student accommodation in Edinburgh and Liverpool and refurbishments in London, Liverpool and Leeds.
 

The £27.45m Fountainbridge student accommodation in Edinburgh for Cityheart has 778 bedrooms over four separate blocks.
 

The luxury student accommodation is located in the heart of the city centre, just a short walk from the university, and include top of the range facilities.
 

Jonathan Pochin, managing director of Pochin Construction, said: “It’s certainly been a busy quarter for Pochin, but we’re pleased to have delivered such a large number of projects.

The £1.7m construction in Gildart Street in Liverpool for Parkmoor is a new six storey accommodation for 47 students.
 

Internally the building is split into clusters with bedrooms, kitchen and lounge area and shared shower and bathrooms.
 

Pochin also carried out student accommodation refurbishments for the Mansion Group in Mansion Wharf London, Haigh Court in Liverpool and Leodis residences in Leeds.
 

The newly modernized Mansion Wharf and Haigh Court were each completed for £1.1m, and now boast 107 and 158 bedrooms respectively.

In addition, Pochin also completed a renovation of Haigh Court’s management suite.
 

The refurbishment of 713 bedrooms at Leeds University’s Leodis halls of residence was carried out over two phases last summer and this summer, with a value of £4m.
