A MIDDLEWICH-based business has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award and will be soon be rubbing shoulders with McDonalds, FedEx and Proctor & Gamble.

Ruby Star Associates has been recognised by the National Business Awards UK and nominated in the New Business of the Year award category. 

The UK’s only Ooomph Agency, Ruby Star Associates helps charities, social enterprises and businesses to build partnerships, sell better, generate more income and their hard work has earned the business a string of accolades. 

Director Isla Wilson:  “We are thrilled to have made the shortlist for such an enormous event. 

“When the awards evening comes round, we will sharing the room with some very respectable names and its fantastic to think that we could share the same platform as them.”

Ruby Star Associates will now head to London to give a final presentation to the judging panel before winners are announced in November at the Grosvenor House in London.

Companies also vying for National Business Awards UK titles include fast food giant McDonalds, national supermarket Sainsburys and finance firm LV.

It’s not the first time Ruby Star Associates have been recognised for their innovative business approach, collecting two trophies from Enterprise Vision Awards last year as well as being nominated for numerous others.

Isla added: “Our whole business is built on tackling the corporate world in a relaxed and fun manner – many of our customers are people who followed their hobby and found themselves running a business by accident.

“If we can bring our enthusiasm and show off what we’re about to the panel of judges – well, who knows?”

Ruby Star Associates also runs The Accidental Business and works with Hochtief, Capita, UnLtd, First Port, Liverpool John Moores University and Anglia University.
