PUPILS formed a flash mob at the Winsford E-ACT Academy to mark the end of an era for the school.

Around 60 dance students performed a specially choreographed piece outside the old Verdin High site to celebrate their move into a brand new £20 million building this September.

Year 9 dance students along with their dance teacher Mrs Laura Wilkinson, Head of Dance, created the piece.

They were joined by year 10 pupils in a sun-soaked rendition of the piece, which was also performed at On The Fringe 2013.

Mrs Wilkinson said teachers and students were ‘really excited’ about the forthcoming year within their brand new, state of the art school.

“We’ve got a brand new dance studio with sprung floors and a new theatre.

“It’s really going to let us do lots more productions. Dance is one of our most popular subjects at the moment. It’s really developed over the last five years. Over 100 students are involved now.”
