EVERYTHING is awesome at the Trafford Centre this half term – and just like The Lego Movie, master builders are welcome any time.

The Legoland Discovery Centre has everything budding Emmetts could wish for under one roof.

Watch in wonder as Lego blocks are made in a special machine, take a sight tour of breathtakingly-constructed cities and movie sets and – the really fun bit – have a go at making some of your own Lego-tastic creations.

You can build your own racing car and send it crashing down a ramp or grab some bigger blocks to put up a den.

There's also child-friendly rides, a soft play area, 3D cinema and new Duplo farm area to ensure that, despite the limited space the centre operates in, it uses it to the full to guarantee a fun-packed visit.

The Barton Square area of the Manchester centre offers another magical indoor experience at the Sea Life Centre.

Mingle with the turtles, sharks and every kind of ocean wildlife for a unique, enthralling underwater journey, with visitors the Octonauts dropping by this holiday to meet your little ones.

It's short and sweet and in truth may not keep children of a younger age captivated for too long despite the presence of a small soft play area halfway through the tour.

But with the likelihood of a school holiday always throwing up the odd rainy day, it's a great place to take cover.
