THE full team behind a new digital show, The Picture of Dorian Gray, has been announced with national treasures and the UK's best actors creating the story with top Welsh talent.

Produced by five UK arts organisations, including Flintshire's Theatr Clwyd, the cast includes Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), Alfred Enoch (How To Get Away With Murder), Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), Emma McDonald, Russell Tovey (Him & Her, The Night Manager) and Stephen Fry (QI, A Bit of Fry & Laurie).

Behind the camera is a glittering array of Welsh and Wales-based talent, including Theatr Clwyd's artistic director Tamara Harvey directing, Llangollen's Eleri B Jones assistant directing, with original songs by Northop-based composer Jared Zeus. The production is managed by Prestatyn's Sami Wood and filmed at The Barn Theatre, led by Carmarthenshire's Iwan Lewis.

Director Tamara said: "It's been a joy working with the Theatr Clwyd team, a company drawn from around the UK and our four co-producing partners to create something hopefully quite magical for audiences across the country."

Oscar Wilde's much-loved story has been adapted by Henry Filloux-Bennett and updated into a world of Instagram, Facebook and dating apps. Set in a profile pic-obsessed, filter-fixated world, the contemporary take follows influencer Dorian Gray as he makes a deal for his social star never to fade.

The Picture of Dorian Gray will use elements found in radio plays, films, documentaries as well as traditional theatrical techniques. Tickets for the production are currently on sale internationally, and can be purchased via pictureofdoriangray.com

Audience members receive a screening link which will activate on their booked performance date for a 48-hour period. Tickets are priced at £12 which will include both a link to the production as well as a digital programme. Closed captioning will be available for all dates during the run, with audio description available from March 23-31.

Education packs, available in both English and Welsh, will be packaged with performance links at £100 per school/group, are also available for the production and have been curated to be used across a range of curriculum areas, particularly to those studying Drama and Theatre, Performing Arts, Media and PSHE.

Box Office and education pack enquiries can be made by emailing bookings@pictureofdoriangray.com
