GET the best of this year’s Lymm Festival at home.
The popular event was cancelled in March due to the pandemic.
But organisers are now offering an online ‘taster’ instead.
Highlights will include poetry readings, tasters of the music acts that were scheduled to appear and a craft activity. For more details visit the Lymm Festival website and look out for updates on social media. Volunteers will use Facebook, You Tube and our website to showcase ‘what might have been’ and to give a flavour of what to expect in future years.
Lymm’s music scene may have moved indoors, but there has still been an enormous display of creativity throughout lockdown. A taste of this talent will be in the ‘Lymm Lockdown Showcase’.
Nature has been a source of inspiration and comfort to many these past month.
As ‘Our Favourite Poems’ is a big favourite of the festival, there will be an online presentation of poetry requested by the public on the theme of ‘rejoicing nature’. Poems will be read by Fr Michael Burgess and festival deputy chair, David Smith.
