SLAVES are returning to Warrington – as promised – after pulling out of Neighbourhood Weekender at the 11th hour.

Now – just before the release of their Velvet Ditch EP – Slaves have announced they will be coming back to Warrington on Monday, December 9.

Guitarist Laurie and drummer Isaac Holman will be playing at the Parr Hall and said on Facebook: "Warrington we told you we'd be back."

Slaves formed in Tunbridge Wells in 2012 and quickly took the heavy rock scene by storm with their 2015 gold-certified debut album, Are You Satisfied?

The record, which peaked at number eight in the charts, was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and in the same year the duo were nominated for BBC's Sound of 2015.

Since they have released another two top 10 albums including Take Control and Acts of Fear and Love. The band also performed at Glastonbury Festival this year on The Other Stage. They have been regulars at the iconic festival since making their debut on the John Peel stage in 2015.
