GARDEN-LOVERS can help raise money for charity next weekend by visiting one of Crewe's award-winning gardens.

Jasmine Cottage at 107 Valley Road is opening its doors from 11am to 5pm on Sunday, June 24 in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Owner Cynthia Fenner said: "There is a Japanese area, climibing roses, jasmine surrounds, a pond with herbaceous borders and a wood at the bottom of the garden where we have just found a hedgehog nest.

"We also have a lot of birds. It's only a small garden but there's a lot going on."

Admission costs £2 which will be donated to Cancer Research UK and tea, coffee and homemade cake will be available.

This is the third year that Jasmine Cottage has opened its gardens for charity.
