IT’S amazing, isn’t it, how Tom Jones has managed to retain his cool reputation?
Where many artists of his ilk – Engelbert and Tony Christie – have become parodies of themselves, Tom has managed to plough new furrows.
Don’t expect great songs from 24 Hours - there are no memorable tunes to match Delilah or Help Yourself - but the album has a great feel, thanks to arrangements that sound like Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse have had a hand in it.
