CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING (Church Walk and Old Market Place, Knutsford) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that on the 25th May 2017 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, ("the 1984 Act") and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the 1984 Act.
1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 2nd June 2017, will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting by vehicles at all times on all days on the following lengths of road;-
i) introduce a prohibition of waiting by vehicles at all times on all days on the following length and side of road and revoke any existing previous Orders on;:-
Church Walk (North side) - From its junction with King Street for a distance of 76.5 metres in a north easterly direction;
Church Walk (South side) - From its junction with King Street for a distance of 76 metres in a north easterly direction;
ii) Revoke existing residents parking bay Mon - Sat 8.30am - 6pm on the following length and side of road;
Old Market Place (South side) - From a point 24 metres west of its junction with Moorside for a distance of 9 metres in a westerly direction.
2. A copy of the Order, a map showing the restricted area, a statement of reasons for making the order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order may be examined during the usual office hours at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1HZ and Delamere House, Delamere Road, Crewe, CW1 2LL and to the Knutsford Public Library, Toft Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 OPG.
3. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
