Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The Borough of Warrington (A49 Tarporley Road)

(40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 & 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 16th February 2022. The effect of the Order is to introduce a 40 miles per hour speed limit on A49 Tarporley Rd from the Borough Boundary with Cheshire West & Chester through to the M56 Interchange. The Order will be effective from 17th February 2022. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at

permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Town Hall Reception, Town Hall, Sankey St, Warrington, WA1 1UH between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 16th February 2022, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
