CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Notice is hereby given that on the 16 February 2021 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will come into operation on 19 February 2021.
CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TATTENHALL AREA) (SPEED UM[TS) ORDER 2021
The effect of the Order will be to:
(i) Introduce a 40 mph speed limit on the followings lengths of road:

* Chester Road, Golbome Bellow/Tattenhall - from a point 5 metres west of its junction with Gatesheath Lane south-eastwards to a point 443 metres north­west of its junction with Tattenhall Road;

* Gatesheath Lane/Newton Lane, Golbome Bellow to Tattenhall - from its junction with Chester Road eastwards to its junction with Tattenhall Lane;

* Rocky Lane, Handley/Tattenhall - from its junction with A41 Whitchurch Road north-eastwards to a point 104 metres south of its junction with Frog Lane; and

* Tattenhall Road, Newton By Tattenhall/Tattenhall -from its junction with Newton Lane southwards to a point 746 metres north-east of its junction with Chester Road.

(ii) Introduce a 50 mph speed limit on the followings lengths of road:

* Chester Road, Golbome Bellow/Tattenhall - from its junction with A41 Whitchurch Road eastwards to a point 5 metres west of its junction with Gatesheath Lane;

* Frog Lane, Handley/Tattenhall - from its junction with A41 Whitchurch Road eastwards to a point 400 metres west of its junction with Rosemary Row; and

* Red Lane/Tattenhall Road, Huxley to Tattenhall -from its junction with Huxley Lane southwards to its junction with Newton Lane.

The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or
to any provision contained in it, on the grounds
that any requirement of the Act or any instruments
made under it may have not been complied with in
relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from
16 February 2021 apply to the High Court for that
purpose.
